7th Annual
Walk to Remember 2009
Join Share of Lancaster on September 27, 2009 as we
honor our babies by participating in a memorial walk
at the Greenfield Corporate Center in Lancaster,
Pennsylvania.
Share’s Walk to Remember is held to acknowledge all
babies who have died as a result of ectopic
pregnancy, miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death
and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Share of
Lancaster’s goal is to provide a support and hope
for all grieving parents and family members. This is
a special time for those who have experienced the
heartache of losing a baby. The Walk to Remember
celebrates the tiniest of lives while acknowledging
the fact that everybody has the right to grieve, no
matter what type of loss.
Registration begins at 1:00PM with the event
beginning at 2:00PM. There will be a scenic memorial
walk around the ponds followed by a time of
remembering. The service will include a time of
sharing by Tonya Dorsey, a candle lighting ceremony
and a roll call of babies’ names. There will also be
crafts for children and a memory book for parents to
write a message to their baby.
Our speaker this year will be Tonya Dorsey, a
bereaved parent, author and consultant. Her book,
From Crisis to Purpose: A Mother’s Memoir,
chronicles her and her family’s journey from tragedy
to hope when her water broke prematurely in her 19th
week of pregnancy.
All proceeds from the walk will benefit Share of
Lancaster support services.
